Weber's USA Trip 2018
Today was the last day with the RV and of course we could not really enjoy it. In the morning we packed all suitcases and bags first, then we cleaned the rest of the camper. Although we got up early, time was suddenly running away. As a deadline we had 10:30, because after that we would have no shuttle to the hotel and the drive to the rental took a good hour. When we finally drove off it was already after 08:00h. Enough time, but the traffic could still interfere with us.
Fortunately, we made good progress and after a short stop in a Walmert (we still had to exchange some) we were around 10:00h finally in the area of ??the lender. But we still had to fill up and fill the propane tank. The refueling worked great, but also took a good 5-10 minutes, because the tank of a RV is quite large. And also filling the propane lasted (felt to us) forever. Something did not work properly and the propane flowed much slower than usual. After 10 minutes we could finally pay and drive off and arrived at 10:20h. Late, but on time.
The return was then easy. We had cleaned so well, the Roadbear employee was extremely impressed and had the control done in 2 minutes. All we had to do was put the laundry in special containers and unload our bags and we were ready. At 10:45h we drove with the shuttle to the hotel. A second family should have been traveling with us, but they had not come. Presumably they were stuck in traffic, because in the other direction of the interstate there was an accident and a heavy traffic jam.
But we made good progress and reached our hotel near the airport around noon. There we spent a leisurely afternoon at the swimming pool and with some TV, for the evening we ordered delicious food into the room. And for the first time in weeks we had a looooooooooooooooot space to sleep :)
