Weber's USA Trip 2018
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I... Today we had the opportunity to learn the spelling of our next state we crossed. The drive through Mississippi was very relaxing. Big, 2-lane roads between soft hills made the drive easy. That way we could enjoy the landscape, who already looks very different to the coastal areas of Florida. Also we were very surprised about the amount of churches we saw. We noticed that in Florida before. It's not uncommon to see 3-4 churches right next to each other.
The drive took only about 3.5 hours and we still had enough time to go shopping and grab a bite to eat. While we were in the store it started to rain pretty heavily. But we couldn't complain, as of untill now we had a lot of luck with the weather. But now it was pouring down.
Through the rain we made our way towards the new campground, who looked very inviting on the first look. But from the experience we knew to not trust the first look and we had to give it a chance. The host was a very friendly lady who explained everything to us and also showed us our slot. The kids found the "game room" with table tennis, airhockey and billard. So it didn't matter that it still rained.
The 12-year old grandson of the landlady also showed up and played with the kids. Meanwhile a bigger problem showed up. The back window of the RV was leaking in the rain and water rinsed down the wall. We had to catch it up with towels to get the majority of it. We have to contact the RV rental to see what they can do about it. For now we took some pictures and a video to have some proof.
After that we ate dinner and went to sleep. The night was actually pretty quiet. Although Nicole said she heard dogs again. But it wasn't so bad as the day before.
