After getting up and having breakfast we got ready again. Today it should go first to Las Vegas Downtown. This is the original part of the city where the first big casinos stood. Even today you can see in old films the "Golden Nugget" or "4 Queens".
With the bus we drove north and arrived in the area of ??the Fremont (a street), where the downtown area is located and strolled through the street. First we noticed a fairly high "Zipline". But the price was quite heavy with $ 50 per person. We saved our money and enjoyed the street party atmosphere. In addition to the souvenir shops and casinos, there were plenty of street magicians, musicians and other entertainers. So we rattled off the shops, avoided the beggars and returned to the hotel during the afternoon. There, the kids still wanted to play in the small pool, before we wanted to go back to the Strip in the evening.
I used the time to gamble at the casino a bit. With my $ 30 "capital," I got up and played first on a 1-cent machine. That is, you can theoretically play for only a penny. Of course, the profits are then very modest. To have a chance on the (theoretical) jackpot of over $ 10,000, you had to use 180 credits ($ 1.80) per spin. Of course, the $ 30 would have been gone quickly. I preferred to spend the money with small amounts of 5 or 10 cents until the first $ 7 was gone.
I then switched to roulette. Since there was no space at one of the normal tables, I went to a semi-automatic. The wheel and ball were mechanical, but the rest was electronic. So you bet on a screen that you first fed with dollars. I put $ 20 in (you could always withdraw the amount) and wondered on what to bet.
Small flashback: a few days before Vegas, I asked in a chat forum where I know many people, whether I should bet some money for someone in Vegas. A good friend called "Phortune" advised me to put $ 5 on the corner at 16,17,19 and 20. If then one of the numbers fall, you get back 9x the amount. At $ 5 bet you could win $ 45 (net 40). So I did that. The ball was played and landed on the ..... 19 !!! It actually worked. My account balance was a whopping $ 60. If you subtract my 20 minus the 7 from the slots, I won $ 33! Immediately I paid off and left the casino. I beat Las Vegas for the second time, thanks to the help of Phortune. Thanks, girl! Incidentally, the money was invested in ice-cream for the family in the evening :)
After my fabulous win, I scooped up the rest of the family and went to the south of the strip to visit other casinos (Luxor, Excalibur) and stopped at a M & M shop. Impressive there were the huge tubes, where the M&M's were sorted by color and you can create your own mixture.
With the bus we went back and we sank again late in the evening to bed. Vegas was exciting and interesting, but we were looking forward to leaving the hustle and bustle.
