Weber's USA Trip 2018
The first day completely on a caming ground. We weren't too enthusiastic, after the park didn't met our expectations on the day before. But since we were here and set up, we wanted to make the best out of it.
On the morning we slept in for a bit, bevor we ate breakfast, comfortably with our picnic-table in front of the RV. After that we worked on our diaries/blog and went to explore the ground a bit more. And we found some interesting things. Next to a jumping pad was a second jumping area. The wall of it was made of velcor and we discovered that there were velcro-suits you could put on. With these you could jump onto the wall and stick on it (more or less). It was sooo much fun for the kids. And while they played there, they finally made contact with other children. First they found a friend in Ryan, a kid from another RV, and then Zoe found Peyton, a little girl she could play with. Although they had the language barrier, they had a lot of fun together and even rode on a hay-ride together. We also discovered that the pool was cleaned (we mentioned that it's dirty to one of the guides there) and suddenly the park had a lot more charme.
Also we want to take the opportunity to mention how friendly everybody we met was to us. We had some nice talks and got some useful tipps from our neighbours.
For dinner we got some fire wood and made a nice bonfire in one of the fire-rings. We grilled some sausages on it (with sticks normally used for roasting marshmallows). As the side dish we had some nice yellow rice with yellow peppers. Singing a few scout-songs ended the day and we were looking forward to the next one.
