Weber's USA Trip 2018
Today should have been our BBQ day. Since Amber and Cason couldn't join us on saturday, we wanted to meet them today and have a comfy dinner together. Unfortunately the weather wasn't playing along. In the morning it was more or less ok, but then it started to rain. We didn't let it bother us and wanted to eat in the RV, if everything fails. Even if it would be tight with 10 people :)
The firsts to arrive were Amber and Cason, together with their dogs Sophia and Boner. Since it was still raining, we sat inside the RV and the kids almost couldn't stop cuddling the dogs. But Amber and Cason didn't arrive empty handed. They brought presents for the kids and a HUGE amount of food. Tortilla-Chips, Dips, selfmade sausage (a dream!), Tamalas, Beer, Jalapenos and much more. We felt a bit cheap not being able to chip in a lot.
And then Angela and Glenn came, and they brought a lot as well. Ribs, Hot-Dogs for the Kids, Corn and even flowers for Nicole. It was just an amazing day. We talked about the Rodeo and our trip, Cason/Amber told us about their honeymoon in New Zealand and we had so much fun. We no longer cared about the weather, we simply rolled out the awning and sit underneath it.
Once it became dark and also a bit colder, we ended the great day. Again we got to meet two incredibly friendly and nice persons and the good-byes were really rough. But who knows, maybe some of them make it somehow to Switzerland sometime and then they are of course invited to us.
We also had quite a bit of leftovers from the BBQ, which we can enjoy the next days.... yummy! ;)
