Weber's USA Trip 2018
Today we took leave of Moab. The city was really interesting and the adventurous are sure to get their money. From jeep rides to climbing to parachute jumps, you can do everything that drives the adrenaline rush. In addition the national parks "Arches" and "Canyonlands" for hikes of all difficulty levels.
But we continued to drive in a rough direction towards "Bryce Canyon". As the first stage we wanted to drive through the "Capitol Reef National Park" to Torrey. That was about halfway to the entrance to Bryce. We took it easy, as all felt a little bit the efforts of the last days.
The ride was entertaining, but not spectacular. And as we drove through the "Capitol Reef" we realized that now we were a little bit saturated with the many rock formations and gorges. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the view, but we were not quite as enthusiastic as on the first day at the Arches.
We stopped for a short hike to the "Hickman Bridge", a large stone arch off the road. After the many arches in the "Arches" this was not so breathtaking, but still worth seeing and worth a stop along with the beautiful hike.
The "Scenic" tour through the reef we broke off then about halfway, because we would rather have some time on the campground to chill. The campground "Wanderland" was a pleasant surprise. Almost no visitors (off season) and beautifully located in nature. From the RV we looked over a cow pasture on the mountains in the distance and the highway in the back was almost not noticeable.
The kids played some basketball and we did two loads of laundry. The evening we decided then with a movie.
