Weber's USA Trip 2018
David's Birthday. For today we planned to have an exciting day for David. The night before we had decorated the RV as good as we could, so there was some birthday atmosphere for the breakfast. He even got some presents. A bandana from Ron Jon, a "Battleship" game for the travel and Yannic gave him 10 Dollars from his personal budget to get himself a nice gift.
After that we went to the Beach. On the way we saw the various attractions of the area, like a house that is upside down, a building in form of a huge ship, small aracades and various shops. Passing a big construction site we made our way to the sandy beach.
On the beach there was a relative low amount of people (thanks to the off-season) and the kids had a lot of space to play and splash about. The water was a bit chilly, but the sun burned down pretty heavily, so even with using sunscreen at level 50, we still got some sunburns :(
After the beach we ate lunch in a Subway and started our long way back to the RV park. But before we arrived we decided to play a round of minigolf in a beautiful arcade. The course was lovely made with animal figures, but the course wasn't as difficult as expected.
Back at the park we went for a round of basketball and volleyball and spent some time in the pool, incl. the hot-tub. After a tasty dinner we even got some chocolate cake and the kids fell fast asleep later.
Unfortunately the night was disturbed. Around 1 am something cried/shouted in the area, probably a bird or an ape or whatever (there was a zoo close by). For about an hour it was impossible to sleep and unfortunately we never found out, what caused the ruckus.
For David it was a birthday long to remember.
