Weber's USA Trip 2018
In the morning we said goodbye to Roswell and also to our new friends. The children were very sad, so we made a new plan. As the Carvin's also traveled to Albuquerque, and we booked that as the next stop anyway, we arranged to spend another day at their campsite (they would be there for a week). It was not so bad to say goodbye, because we would see them soon again. The Jensens drove "unfortunately" to Amarillo, which is no longer on our route. But we exchanged the addresses and it will be exciting to hear how they are doing on their adventure.
The ride was also a bit adventurous. A strong wind made driving with the RV exhausting, but we were rewarded by the landscape. We saw more and more mountains (even with snow) and also antelopes and bisons. After lunch at a Burgerking, we even drove for a while on the "Route 66", which runs parallel to the Interstate.
Our final destination was Albuquerque, best known from the television series "Breaking Bad". My question in Walmart where you get the "blue crystal meth" only brought laughter from the seller though.
The campground was a bit out of Albuquerque and unfortunately the WiFi did not work for the entire 2 days at all. So no blog updates :) But one can also live without the Internet for a few days .... although with slight withdrawal symptoms :)
