Today, being Sunday, meant we would go to church. Last year when we were in Catalina we found a wonderful small church, Life Point. The musicians are talented, the message powerful.
After going to church we picked up a few groceries, mailed a letter and went out to eat. Google maps showed a place to eat nearby. It ended up being at a golf course with Senior condos. It was called The View and the food was great.
Pearl had recovered from her colic and there were four piles showing that her hind gut was working properly, again. Dan wanted to give her one more day to recover, so I rode by myself out to the pink mansion.
It is in Catalina State Park. David and Molly Hoffman own it and call it Rancho Los Cerros. The ranch dates back to the early 1900s. There is a great YouTube video here from when it was up for sale, that shows how beautiful it is.

It is fun to be riding through the desert hills and all of a sudden come up on it. You feel like you are in some old western movie.
The corral is made up of stone pylons with pipe connecting them. Just laying the pylons would be a big job and there are many of them surrounding the riding ring. The barn is unique and also pink.
It is hard to get photos of the ranch because of all the large trees and landscaping, but the video shows inside and out if you are interested.
Tomorrow I am riding with Jennifer, a rider I met who owns the Gypsy Vanner horse. I think she is bringing her paint with her for this ride. It should be fun since she is a local and knows the area well.
'til tomorrow.
