Out West Wanderings II

Today is all about Jax. He is our four-year old miniature poodle. I picked him out the night my old miniature poodle, Kipper, died. Late into the night I researched online where I could buy a puppy. In the morning, I told Dan we had a four-hour drive to pick up the cutest little puppy and he was the same color (apricot) as Kipper.

From the beginning, Jax was exceptionally smart. He was house broke in no time and quickly learned tricks. His favorite toys are balls. He will fetch for hours and when we are too busy to throw the ball, he learned he could push it off the couch by himself and go get it and do

He will fetch for hours and when we are too busy to throw the ball, he learned he could push it off the couch by himself and go get it and do

it again. He also will drop the ball into any opening like garbage cans, crocks, shoes and the dishwasher. He sometimes he gets himself into trouble by getting into the pond. But how could we stay mad at a face like that?

Jax is always happy and is not a yappy poodle, at all. He knows many words and you can talk to him like a person and he will understand.
Sometimes he likes to dress up. And he loves every person he meets.

Jax loves camping. He has been going with us since he was 8 weeks old. He has learned not to bark at the other dogs going by and lets us know when he needs to go out by pushing his leash around in the

camper.

Today he had a grooming appointment at Pet Smart. Although we were in Catalina, they knew all about him and how we liked to have him clipped from his records. Baths are not his favorite thing and he tried to leave PetSmart as soon as we got in the door. He finds it exhausting to have a bath and get groomed. He is content now and
we are all ready for bed.

God bless and good night. Pam
