Out West Wanderings II

We arrived at our new camp on the south side of the Superstition Mountains around 3:00 in the afternoon. Last year we stayed in a gravel pit on the north side of the mountains. There were a lot of horse campers, but also homeless people in tents. The police were frequent visitors.

I am so glad we met Al at Catalina earlier this year. He lives on the south side of the Superstitions and knew where we could park the camper. It is beautiful here. We are back off a dirt road that runs past Al's driveway. His home is totally off the grid. He has a 600 foot deep well and solar panels. Later this week we will go riding with him.

We grocery shopped and I bought enough for a couple of weeks, should we decide to stay that long. Dan bought horse feed and I bought Metamucil, molasses and baby food to mix up a concoction to keep Pearl pooping. She went several times today and did eat a little hay and drank some water. Still not back to normal.

We stopped at Hobby Lobby to buy picture frames, since I finished the cougar.

I can't say how nice it is to look out across the desert and not see a single camper, rider or car. The sunset was perfect and we are so happy here already.
Blessed am I.
