We had a smashing time with our new found friends from Canada compliments of Rob & Caroline. I could see the vase slowly sliding off the kitchen bench out of reach as the boat started to tilt. It was like slow-mo; another boating casualty. Lesson learnt again no breakables to be left on the kitchen bench when we are moving. We have scheduled a stop at IKEA to replenish stocks.
We moved onto the Coventry canal this week & it was time for that oh so important monthly ritual of filling up with diesel & emptying Cookie Monster. We never run the red line, but its always relief when the job is done. Water tank filled & food stocked. We are good to go, just arriving on the Ashby Canal at the end of the day.
The Ashby is a favoured canal because it is lock free & rural. They even have a steam train which we found convenient to get to the Co-op to buy more food. Rescued prison officers stuck in a winding hole. Prop got fouled by all their attempts. Weed hatch up, call out hire co.
