Watt Knot Travels

Our week began travelling back from Worcester. We thought we would go via Stratford Upon Avon just because we can. The weather didn't impress, so we only stayed for lunch & a brisk wet walk around. We will come back with the boat.
As we had time on our hands we got google to get us home without using the M5. I thought it would be smart enough to take us through little villages along the backroads. Birmingham was a bit big for my liking as we followed the navigation. Hmm, not quite what I had in mind. Doh!
Our plan still stood to escape the compound on Saturday. I even enlisted some co-conspiritors in Stephen & Dianne from NB Thomas Henry. We hatched a plan to do the locks together. Our plan was nearly scuttled by the wind on the day. The arch enemy of the boater that can push us sideways down the canal. Still, we held our nerve & jointly decided game on! Sad farewells to Brian & Daisy. Who am I going to walk with now? I know, we'll skype walk, problem solved. Even the swans came around to say goodbye. Luckily for us we had a tail wind when we got out of the marina which propelled us along. 4 hours, 6 double locks & 13 kilometers later, a days work has been done as we moor up at Calverley.
