Boquete is known for their coffee and chocolate so we thought it would be fitting to take a chocolate making class at a coffee shop in town. It was several hours long, but we all got to try all the steps and ended up with quite a bit of delicious chocolate to take home!
Today marks one month since we arrived in Bocas. Walker has been asking regularly if we can have a family vote at one month to decide if we are going to stay in Panama or go home. We agreed to have the conversation today, but Walker wanted to get right down to the vote and was the first person to vote “yes” for staying. Everyone agreed which was a relief! It’s definitely been an adjustment period, but it’s good to see the kids embracing this adventure.

Boquete, Panama
Boquete is known for their coffee and chocolate so we thought it would be fitting to take a chocolate making class at a coffee shop in town. It was several hours long, but we all got to try all the steps and ended up with quite a bit of delicious chocolate to take home!

We agreed to have the conversation today, but Walker wanted to get right down to the vote and was the first person to vote “yes” for staying. Everyone agreed which was a relief! It’s definitely been an adjustment period, but it’s good to see the kids embracing this adventure.
That afternoon we walked to the brewery and met a family who has lived in Boquete for a year. They invited us to their house for dinner and we decided “why not?”! They live high up in the mountains with the most amazing backyard filled with waterfalls, fish ponds and a river running through it. Pictures could not capture it. We had a great evening meeting new people and enjoying great food! Their friend is a chef at a nearby ecolodge and she came and cooked for us! We didn’t get home till midnight. We were all exhausted but grateful for a fun evening with new friends.
