Our last weekend

Our last weekend in Bocas was filled with friends, parties and goodbyes. Friday night, we visited our friends’ boat in Solarte for the Marina BBQ and final farewell. Pia has been one of Rose’s best buddies and we’ve enjoyed spending time with her family the last 6 months. On Saturday, Blythe spent the day at the pool resort with Zayna’s and Zephyr’s families. Her new swimsuit, which we ordered months ago, had been lost in the mail due to the protests, but miraculously showed up today - just in time for her swim play date! Walker, Rose and I took a boat back out to Solarte for day at Rose’s friend Mya’s family resort. They rent out over the water bungalows and have a huge pool. We all had a blast and enjoyed meeting new friends!

Sunday was Dennis’ birthday and also the day he returned home! He’d been gone over 3 weeks so we were all so excited to pick him up from the airport. We headed right over to the tropical Christmas/birthday party Holly & Tanya were hosting! Their back yard was decked out in Christmas decorations, holiday treats and festive music. Sam even brought a pineapple Christmas tree! The kids had all drawn names for secret Santa so they exchanged gifts and we made gingerbread houses. We celebrated Dennis’ birthday with chocolate cake and cheers with all of our friends. Such a wonderful way to start the holiday season! Dennis requested a spaghetti dinner and family time at home for the evening - he opened his presents and cards and we all enjoyed being back together as a family!
