With school out for a month we’re doing some touristy things now. We hadn’t even eaten out at any of the restaurants in Bocas Town yet, so Thursday night we went to Pier 19 on the water. Such a beautiful setting! Friday, we met up with friends at Coquitos (pizza shack on the beach on Carenero Island). Most kids were out surfing which motivated Walker to sign up for lessons. Saturday morning we biked to a bakery in town that has donuts! The kids were very excited about this discovery. In the afternoon we headed back to Coquitos for Walker’s surf lesson. The girls were thrilled with their new boogie boards and Walker picked up surfing right away! He really seemed to love it. We had dinner at Bibi’s and swam off their dock while waiting for our food and after dinner too. The kids are the happiest when they are in the water!

Dennis has been diving most mornings so the kids and I have been finding fun activities to do while he’s gone. We’ve watched a few episodes of a cake baking show and now Walker has been determined to make an “Oreo Crunch” cake. He came up with his own recipe and design and even cleaned all the dishes! The cake turned out great! We had another huge storm one night (the biggest yet!). Even a floating restaurant sank during the storm :( Once the sun was back out the kids couldn’t wait to play in the puddles. Lots of splashing in our new front yard swamp!
