Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to Dennis! We started the morning with breakfast and cards for Dennis. It’s easy to celebrate this guy that we love so much! We rode our bikes into town and caught a water taxi to Red Frog Beach for the day. It’s a touristy island with a resort, pools, and several restaurants. We spent most of the day in the pool - the setting was hard to beat. The kids chatted it up with the other adults in the pool all day. I think they are excited to make some friends at camp tomorrow. Walker estimated we spent 90% of the day in the water which I think was pretty accurate! Rose was thrilled to find a “no pets” sign at the resort and asked to have her picture taken with it. We’re not sure where her intense fear of animals has come from, but we’re hoping it gets better over the next year. There are lots of dogs and cats roaming the

streets here! Water taxis to and from surrounding islands is one of the main forms of transportation around here. It was a beautiful ride on the water at sunset as we headed back to Bocas.

We biked home, played a few games and ended the day with a movie. Walker asked if we could start tracking how we are feeling each day, so we found an emotions tracker app. Everyone gave today a happy face. The kids are nervous and excited about camp starting tomorrow. It will be good for us to get into our new routine!
