We woke up Monday morning to both girls fully dressed in their uniforms and Walker making everyone breakfast at 6:30am! There were some nerves but everyone was pretty excited for the first day of school. They each had a friend from summer in their class and made a few more friends by the end of the week. The girls are all smiles at the end of each day. While Walker won’t admit he’s enjoying school, he seems the happiest we’ve seen him in a long time. There’s less pressure & less commitments which has let Walker be a bit more carefree which has been great to see. The kids walked home from school everyday with friends and met up for soccer, surfing or swimming several afternoons this week. PE is held on the beach by our house so we get to watch the kids walk by our house on their way to gym. All in all a great first week!
