There are moments on this trip when I'm sure that there are hidden cameras setting me up and one of those moments occurred on the speed ferry to the island of Koh Rong. I took a seat by the side of the boat so that I had full sight of the sea views but after 10 minutes, I was getting wave splash back left right and centre. I stuck it out for a few more minutes before turning round to find a seat to move to...there were none, and also no one left sitting on my side of the boat. So for the 40minute journey, I was getting gradually soaked whilst not a single other person on the boat experienced the same. I had a few laughs and sniggers from other passengers as my hair stuck to my face with salt water but it was all worth it eventually, arriving onto a white beach with clear sea and no sound but that of the waves (where I would stay and not leave for 3 days). I met some great people and we got into a lazy routine of spending the day relaxing in and out of the sea and walking 200m along the beach twice a day for cheap grub - my kind of lifestyle for sure.
