So I'm going to admit that I took a little holiday in between my travels (if that's a thing...if not, it is now) which is my excuse for not blogging for a while; not because I've been too busy but instead, the complete opposite, I have nothing to say except that I've had the most relaxing couple of days doing nothing but lazing by the pool on a perfect island. To begin with, I was feeling pretty guilty about this, but as temperatures reached 38degrees, there's not much else that I could have physically been doing!! I did manage to make it to the next island along and visit, and swim in, a couple of waterfalls but the mix of a sweaty bum, intense heat, super hard bike saddle and the worlds worst "roads" did not make it the most pleasant journey I have ever done, that's for sure! My biggest achievement of this week though, is finding the worlds worst restaurant service. Yes, I went back at least 5 times but bad service is not going to keep me away from a cheap fruit shake and a big bowl of fruit, granola and yog...(the Mekong view was a bonus too I guess). But the main factor that made my stay on Don Det (1 of 4000 islands) a holiday, has to be the fact that I got my laundry done; living it up, I know, someone control me. I have now arrived in Cambodia to begin week 7 of my trip, where I was greeted by a beautiful sunset and happy hour on the most amazing mojitos; second night is booked already...!
