My diary

Still with the same group of people from Koh Rong, we have now landed in Koh Rong Sanloem. I have had so many fab and new experiences here including watching 3 tornadoes move across the sea, paddling with bioluminescence plankton, pier jumping, a cheeky jungle trek, seeing a massive hermit crab, a large lizard-like reptile of some sort and being served beer and food by children as young as 3 or 4....this island was much more underdeveloped than Koh Rong with no wifi or hot water and very basic accommodation. This was terrifying at times, lying in nothing more than a shed with all the sounds of the biggest storm I've ever heard surrounding the room - Every lightning strike, I would use the light to check whether my bags were swimming in water yet...this was almost as terrifying as the massive girl in the bed next to me who I only ever saw in underwear....My mosquito net had never been tucked under my bed so tightly after being told that previous guests had woken up to find that they were sharing a bed with mice, that's for sure. The weather did hinder our adventures a little, however, being stuck in a bar eating and drinking was my idea of a good time. Will be sad to say goodbye to my new friends (mainly because their Irish skin made me look so tanned) but I'm sure this small world will force us together again at some point!
