Camino 2017
Wish every day was like this one..a beautiful, only 12 miles (who would of thought we would of said that), sunny fall day!
From Fromista, we'll carry on along a footpath that leads us to Carrión de los Condes, where we will sleep tonight. Just before our arrival there, we'll stop for a visit to Villalcázar de Sirga and its enormous fortified basilica, Santa María la Blanca (St. Mary the White), another one of the properties entrusted to the legendary Templar knights along the Pilgrim's Way-the other ones being a castle in Ponferrada and a church in Galicia.
We arrived at our lodging for the night and everyone was captivated. An old Monestary ([email protected]). And we arrived early enough to find Scotch at the bar!! Day 17 coming up. Three days in the meseta (Spain's Kansas and 15 mile days). Usually hot, we are expecting rain which we think we would prefer.
