Camino 2017

Thirty four days and one and a half million steps per person later we stand in Santiago at Kilometer zero! A short day in the rain was all that stood between us and this point. All 16 that started this journey have finished it. Marathon runners, mountain climbers, channel swimmers, etc., all claim this to be their most difficult effort.

Still to come today is the issuance of our "compestella's" (certificate of completion), a Pilgrims mass in the cathedral where they will swing the botafumeria and a celebratory dinner. Tomorrow we visit finisterre, the once to be believed lands end.

Why did we do it? Who knows... They say "everyone walks their own camino". To one and all, especially the Colorado group and our token Brit it was wonderful experiencing this journey with you!
