America on the road

On our drive through Ohio we saw an Amish man riding his horse and cart down a freeway, near Akron. We stopped in at a drive-in to catch a film, South Paw, which is deep AF. Though Pennsylvania is quite pleasant, and really quite pretty, the security guards at the drive in we stopped at carried guns, so we mostly stayed in the car. After the movie was over we got on our way again, during this section of the drive a racoon ran out in front of the car, Jamie and I both jumped but thanks to Jamie’s quick thinking, there was no splat. Yay, no roadkill for us yet!
My brother, Jaefn, turned 20 on August 15th, it’s weird to think that my kid brother is in no way shape or form a kid anymore, he’s been moved out and living in a foreign country for a year now, he’s definitely growing up, I don’t think I like it. For Jae’s birthday we ventured to West Chester, PA to see if we could find Bam Margera’s castle, and we did! I can tell you that, although Jamie caught a glimpse of the house, and I caught a snippet of the car, there are mostly a lot of fences, I guess he got bored of people trying to prank him at home? Since both of us would actually like to see the trip out, and get into Canada afterwards, jumping a fence especially with the amount of camera’s that were mounted was ill-advised, the best laid plans, eh?
After West Chester we got on our way to Philadelphia, which has a really pretty, difficult to take a picture of skyline. while we tried to navigate the streets, we found a drive-in theatre showing all three ‘Back to the Future’ s while having a classic car show in New Jersey, so after getting lost, yet another time we headed out.
The classic cars were cool. watching Back to the Future 3, specifically the bit where Doc and Marty are at a drive in, while at a drive in myself, was really cool. finding a rest stop in New Jersey sucks, apparently they're all on toll roads, so we found a quiet car park to call home for the night.
The next morning we woke up and went back into Philly, we saw the Liberty Bell, the Civil Rights Museum and tried what the Guardian has called the best Philly Cheesesteak at Sonny’s Famous Steaks. While I am normally vehemently against any food product that’s not sherbet that has Whiz in the name, we had a traditional cheesesteak with cheese whiz and grilled onions and it was the Bomb.Com, I’m so glad we shared because if i’d have tried to eat a whole one on my own I would’ve exploded.
To Baltimore we go.
