America on the road

When we arrived in Dallas, or should I say through Dallas, we decided to get public transport into the city, we're staying further out again but close to the Gas Monkey Bar n Grill.
Never stay in a motel rated less than okay, this motel was rated 4.2 - Okay, and if this is 'okay' I don't want to see poor, but it was cheap and you really do get what you pay for..Beggars and choosers and all that. Dallas is a real artsy place, loads of sculptures, which mildly distracted from how bloody sweaty it is to walk places here, A/C is a god damn saviour.
We went to the Woolworth bar in downtown Dallas where we had mac and cheese like you've never even imagined it, it was that good.
There we got talking to a dude with really awesome sleeves of tattoos who told us to mosey up to the bar he worked in, The Anvil. The anvil was not that close, we discovered but it was a really nice Irish pub, where we met a couple who fed us some pizza, WHICH WAS ALSO AWESOME. How come pubs at home don't do food this good?
When we were done stealing food, we headed back to the motel to change and go to Gas Monkey for dinner.
It was about a half an hour walk, but the sun had gone down so we didn't quite die though we did have to run across at least one 4 lane road. Food at Gas Monkey was awesome, it had corona on draft! Jamie had pulled pork and I had artichoke hearts and a Caesar salad with avocado, I understand why our stereotype of americans is that they're so fat now, it's because their food is awesome.
By the time we had finished dinner I was hella drunk, from all the drinking so I didn't care so much that we slept in a bed that someone's probably died in.
It's 8am now and we're heading to Fort Worth today, hopefully to a waterpark because it's crazy hot.
