America on the road
Last night after four corners, we headed towards Vegas, stopping off near the Grand Canyon at a campsite outside of Bedrock City, of Flintstones fame. We got in pretty early so after setting the tent up we grabbed a couple of brewskis and settled in for a night of cards, which was lovely. Last night after four corners, we headed towards Vegas, stopping off near the Grand Canyon at a campsite outside of Bedrock City, of Flintstones fame. We got in pretty early so after setting the tent up we grabbed a couple of brewskis and settled in for a night of cards, which was lovely. While i'm aware the the temperature generally drops at night I wasn't quite prepared for how cool it gets
in Arizona at about 4am, cold enough to wake the both of us up, thats how cold.
After catching a couple more hours, we went into Bedrock city, which is run down but still hella cool. It's for sale so if anyone's got a spare $2,000,000 (well 2.5 cos you'd need some money to do it up) then go for it, it would be a really cool thing to own.
It took us about an hour to finish exploring and after we were done we drove towards Tusayan, the closest town to the Grand Canyon
National Park and went up.
This side of the canyon is amazing, you can hike it, you can actually walk down it!
We spent some time at the canyon, and afterwards we sort of headed towards Bullhead city, which is on the way to Vegas. We got to Bullhead City & Laughlin to find the campsite, turns out it was an RV site! So yet again we were flying by the seat of out pants..
I haven't yet been to hell, but I imagine it feels quite similar to being stood outside at 5pm in June in Laughlin, NV (114)
Since our plans fell through, we thought 'Fuck it. Vegas here we come!'
