While driving to Thomasville:
Welcome to Quitman, out first peek at small town America.

*Last night we drive through Quitman to Thomasville, Georgia. We got lost about four times (my fault) but manageed to get to the motel in enough time to have a great nights sleep. The Days Inn we stayed at had smoking rooms which was weird, I think i'll be avoiding those, can't imagine they're particularly pleasant.
We spent this morning in Walmart buying camping gear and the went to Thomasville. Thomasville is adorable, it's got one bookstore - which i went into and bought a t-shirt from, then we stopped for lunch at the Gin Creek Plantation. We got salsa - homegrown in Georgia (including

Georgia peaches!) - and chips plus a pulled pork sandwich topped with mac and cheese, which sounds weird but tastes like the best thing ever.
We set off about 1 pm towards our third state of the trip, Alabama!
