America on the road
We waited 'til the last possible moment to check out of the hotel, jumped in the car and went to Santa Monica pier for the afternoon. After dealing with all the people on the pier, and dominating Skeeball we went onto the beach where we stumbled upon a Gymnastics workout, and possibly the weirdest yoga class ever.
There were obstacles on the beach so obviously Jamie had to flex his muscles and climb the rope without breaking a sweat (bastard). I cannot climb a rope (which is unsurprising to anyone who's seen my try and do a push up) so I didn't.
Have decided that this part of California is pretty much just full of weirdos, god-botherers and rude people, so after a hearty lunch the drive to Santa Barbara came as a relief.

Santa Barbara
is cute as hell, but we didn't have much time o after driving down the 1 highway to get there - I can't even explain the views - we drove through, had a stroll and found ourselves another drive in theatre to nap through.
We watched Inside Out, which is supposed to be a kids film but it is DARK!
After that sob fest, we accidentally both fell asleep and were awoken by a random dude..oops. So we got on our way to the rest stop where we laid our heads for the night.
