America on the road

Drove into San Diego from Vegas, with a couple of stop offs on the way and decided it was time for lunch (plus we both needed to pee) so while we were cruising through a random part of San Diego we passed an adorable looking Mexican place, and being so close to Mexico who were we to say no?
We couldn't decide what to eat so we ordered a sampler, I mean, we got steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas but it was great so that worked out and made both Jamie and I realise that we actually like shrimp.
After dunch (which is like a far later brunch) we went to downtown San Diego, The Gaslamp Quarter, to wander around and it was the first time in ages that it hadn't been as hot as hell, in fact there was a little rain!
We decided to take in another Drive-in movie ($9 each for a double feature, so we saw Spy and the new terminator film (it's good)) before finding ourselves a Walmart carpark to sleep in, because sometimes saving money and sleeping in the car is better than sleeping in a shitty expensive hotel.
When we woke up we spent the morning we explored San Diego, after breakfast we went down to the Marina and on the walk back I actually got to go to the convention centre, wasn't Comic-Con but you know, a girl can dream.
After we were done wandering we headed towards Newport, but on the way decided to make a little detour...
