After waking up in Idaho we decided that we needed to get on, though which way we weren’t quite sure. Since we were pretty near the bottom of Idaho we decided that as Salt Lake City is just at the top of Utah it was best to go that way. Salt Lake is alright I guess, we stopped at a ‘tobacco seller’ wherein a man signalled that he was deaf and dumb and made me write down my query, he didn’t have my baccy - in case you were wondering. After that interaction we decided the best plan was to grab some Chinese food - Panda Express - and go find a drive in - which we did. In the morning we headed back into Salt Lake proper to grab a coffee and contemplate going to Lagoon, the local theme park. After concluding that $50 each for a theme park was excessive, we landed at Starbucks (for the coffee fix) and met a really cool barista called John who gave us some travel tips in exchange for suggestions on where to go in England when he decides to take the trip. Meeting locals in random places has fast become one of our favourite parts of this trip. It’s really interesting to see how other people live, and how they feel about our part of the world.
The route we piked from Utah lead us back into Idaho on our journey to North Dakota.
