America on the road

From Missouri the only way to Minnesota is through Iowa, and since we really had not much interest in Iowa it was mostly driving. We stopped off in Bethany, Missouri for the night to use the pool and see if we could watch the Rowsey UFC fight (which lasted 34 seconds, glad I took so much time to find it). After Bethany we went straight to Des Moines, Iowa where we saw a really pretty gold building (assuming the state capitol building) and stopped for lunch. Lunch was at a really nice Italian place, where I had four cheese tortellini in a creamy pesto sauce and Jamie had beef ravioli in a beef argue. Yummy.
We got through Iowa in about a day and booked two nights just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
We arrived late so our first night at the prime rate inn was spent capitalising on the free hot chocolate served 24/7 in the lobby. Our first day we spent almost entirely - minimum 8 hours - in The Mall of America. It’s called The Mall of America but i’m really not are that it should be called a Mall, maybe instead; The Shopping Palace of America. It has an indoor amusement park for goodness sake! We were there for 8 hours and didn’t go back on ourselves (apart from Jamie going back to the Lego shop when he decided what he wanted) it’s that big. Bigger than a Mall has any right to be if you ask me.
The next morning we planned on going to a waterpark but further research suggested that waterparks would be best left until we got to the Wisconsin Dells, the waterpark capital of America, so we input the coordinates and off we went.
