Dwayne's European Tour

Our last full day in Europe was spent mostly traveling between two countries. We got up early to catch a bus, then a train, and then another train to the airport. We were a little stressed because we were going to be arriving at the airport only an hour and half before our flight. Good things the Germans are so efficient. The Munich airport is beautiful and one of the top rated airports in Europe. It was easy to see why. There were no lines at our check-in desk, no lines at security, and everything was clearly labelled. So we ended up having a leisurely wait for our plane instead of a mad sprint for the runway. That was an answer to prayer.

When we arrived in Rome, we only had to wait about twenty minutes for our bags. The lady, who's place we were staying, actually picked us up at the airport. It was so nice of her. Then it was a short five minute drive to her apartment. She was a little crazy!

Once we settled in, we went in search of food. Unfortunately, we forgot that we were back in Italy, where nothing opens for dinner before 6:30pm. So we walked to the mall and the kids had some Burger

King. We grabbed a few groceries for breakfast tomorrow then took the kids back to the apartment. Jen and I headed out in search of one last good Italian pasta meal. No such luck, not an Italian restaurant around. So we ended up having crappy nachos and mediocre ribs. At least I had pork one last time before heading back home!
