Day 30

It's my birthday! Don't feel any older today, as yesterday helped me feel young. Jen made me my breakfast today.....mmmmmm, a Shaklee shake. It's still nice to have someone else make it for you. We had booked another electric car today to use. Man, I want one. It is pretty great. It runs so well and doesn't use any gas. Just need some more plug in stations wherever we live.

We drove about 40 kms to Hallein, Austria, where they have a large salt mine that you can tour. It is no longer in use but it is just for people to visit. It was pretty interesting seeing how they obtained the salt. Salt was the commodity of this area and made this area pretty

rich. It was unbelievable to think how hard it must have been to have made all the different mine shafts into the mountain. At one point we were over a kilometre from the entrance and 200 m underground. It was also cool to cross over the Austria/Germany border through the tunnels.

After we found a Mexican restaurant, where Josiah and I shared a delicious plate of ribs and nachos. We then headed back to Werfenweng to relax at our apartment for a bit. We then went up the road to try the apple strudel. It wasn't that great and thankfully Josiah liked it so I traded him for his chocolate sundae. We did a bit more relaxing and had a late dinner back at our place. Werfenweng was a beautiful spot to visit and we'd definitely come back here. Tomorrow it's on to Augsburg.
