Day 32

We were able to sleep in again today...how nice. However, we weren't able to get groceries last night so Jen and I biked to the store to pick some things up. After lounging around, for most of the morning we decided to bike into town to find some lunch. It's so nice to have the use of bikes for exploring a city. Like most European cities, Augsburg is full of bike lanes. It's so helpful when you have children following you and then you don't have to worry about them so much running into cars or pedestrians.

We found a delicious Italian lunch in a large open square called Rathausplatz. Afterwords, we biked home and ended up just chilling

for the afternoon. On the way home, Jen and Abby stopped at the river to dip their feet in. We had decided earlier that we'd go out for milkshakes, because they seem very popular here, later in the day. So we hopped back on our bikes and went in search of a place that made milkshakes. Funnily enough, we ended back up at Rathausplatz. Milkshakes on this side of the world are not like North American milkshakes, they tend to leave out the ice cream here. It was a little disappointing but they still tasted good, just not that thick. On the way home, we picked up a pizza for the kids, while Jen and I just had leftovers. Tonight was spent relaxing some more and even teaching Josiah how to play Sequence.
