Sadly, we now have to leave Memphis, Tennessee and head to St. Louis, Missouri. We are traveling 283 miles to our destination and since we are very worried about our gas, we refilled again; buying 7 gallons at $2.22 per gallon, costing us $15.54. On the way there, a tire popped. We were so frustrated, that Vivi and Carlos get in a fight, while Vanessa ate a sandwich. After the fight ending as a tie, Vanessa got tired and threw the remains of her sandwich at Vivi. We finally fixed the tire and stopped at a public restroom for her to wash her face. After the illegal wrestling, we decided to actually continue to our destination, the Gateway Arch. The construction of the Gateway Arch started in 1963. The arch constructed of stainless steel, celebrates the accomplishments of early pioneers and their efforts expanding West. So, each ticket cost us $13. Vivi, "Once in lifetime, being a student paid off." Vivi and Vanessa rode to the top of the arch. Unfortunately, Carlos was too scared of heights and he didn't want to go all the way to the top. He was crying like a little b. The experience of going up the arch, according to Carlos, was very traumatizing, but Vivi and Vanessa enjoyed the view of the city. We had other options, of places to visit, but we decided instead to go back to the hotel because we were tired, so no drinking for us. The hotel cost a total of $85.
Today, we spent $144.54 and we have $3,120.24 remaining in our budget.
