My diary

We finally found a way to shut her up. Carlos, "Duck tape is very sticky and useful." Today, we are going on a trip, in our favorite economic car, zooming through the roads, little einsteins. We are on our way to Memphis, Tennessee. Here we go! First, we traveled 466 miles. When we only had 66 miles to go, we decided to fill up our tank, which cost us $25.60. We decided to go check out the National Civil Rights Museum. The entrance was a total of $39 in total. In this museum, we saw the Rosa Parks Exhibit. The exhibit is a representation of the bus where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, even though the Jim Crow Laws stated that she give her seat to the white man. Another exhibit we came across was, Voices of the Civil Rights Movement Exhibit. This exhibit combines two video archives into one exhibit. We learned that this exhibit was mostly about the African-American Civil Rights Movement.
After we visited the museum, we went to Graceland; a popular attraction. The entrance cost us $35 each, because of this, only one of us entered. With that price, we got a tour of Elvis' Mansion. The first room I went to was the foyer: where I saw the living room, dining room, stairways, and his mother's bedroom. Next, I went to the Jungle Room, which literally looks like a jungle. Third, I entered Vernon's Office. This was Elvis' father's office, where he managed his personal business. Then, I went to his Trophy Building. Here, you can see his family tree and his wedding attire. Next, was the Racquetball Building, which includes a pinball machine and a piano.

Lastly, I visited the Meditation Garden. This garden is where Elvis and his family members have been laid to rest.
After a long day full of historic fun, it was time to go grab a bite. Again, we went to Subway. Vivi, "Woohoo." Carlos, "Hopefully the Thunder played the Grizzlies today because we might run into Russell Westbrook here at Subway again." After we ate, we felt like we were going to fall into a food comma. So, we rented a room at Vista Inn and Suites Memphis. It cost us $65 in total. That day, we spent $164.60 in total, completely worth it. We were left with a budget of $3,264.78. Carlos, "Thank you, thank you very much."
