Day 19 Munich

Weather 8-22 Started cloudy and ended as a cracker of a day.

Mark has been abandoned by Bernadette for a manicure session with Michaela.

Bearing up manfully to this rejection it was off to the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum or German Transport Museum. Terrific place spread across 3 exhibition halls it has a snail, trains, cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, skis, and skates on display and a very poor vending machine.

Additionally has indoor slide as part of a mobility exhibit. This was not attempted.

Three very entertaining and educational hours followed. Bern’s nails only took 2 hours and did not come with any background information or illustrations.

The Octoberfest site is slowly being taken down and we’ve included some photos that really help show how big and substantial it was. Amazing even while disappearing.

You walk past Bavaria on the way home.

Bavaria is a huge bronze statue of a female with a lion personifying Bavaria.

I think a stein, pretzel or schnitzel would of worked but I’m not Ludwig I.

For dinner we went to a craft brewery with Mick and Sean that was so cool the owner could be a cranky dick and still have people come in the door.
Tiered seating means you don’t fit in as many customers and no one is comfortable but you pay a premium for the beer. Seemed very Newtown.
Had a great time anyway and all headed home for bed.
