#Factor50Shades Darker

My wounds stung against my bedding forcing me to wake after just 5 hours of sleep. I threw the offending blankets off and got ready for attempt number 2 of the walk. When I met Nicole we decided to try a different route, as we began heading up the hill a gorgeous golden dog came up to us for a fuss!
“Hello puppy!” We cooed.
We continued on our way to find the dog still at our heels.
“He may be useful if we get attacked by dogs again!”
“He needs a name.” Nicole said.
At first we suggested a boy’s name and then we realised there was a missing organ for it to be a boy. Eventually we settled on Valarie due to her ginger fur and her desire to ‘come on over.’ ..jokes!

The walk was made even more difficult by my injuries, the pull of the scabs on my knees as I hoisted myself up and over the challenging path was sore but I tried to only complain every few meters and not every time. I asked Valarie to carry me but she ignored me and ran on ahead! Rude!

After what felt like a billion steps we reached the top. You could see the tea plantation ahead as well as the mass of the luscious jungle. Valarie decided it was the perfect place to rest and we had to agree. We sat and soaked in the views, my heart beat starting to slow to a normal rate so I didn’t feel the pulse in my head thumping aggressively.

The way down was far easier and it wasn’t long before we found a cafe to replace the calories we just burnt and more! Valarie found a spot in the sun near us and flopped down to rest. It would be the last we saw of our new fur friend as it was time to move on to greener pastures, literally, we were headed to the jungle resort.
