Nieuw-Zeeland
Na ons avontuur in en rondom te Anau wilden we graag naar het meest zuidelijke puntje van het Zuidereiland. We zouden nóg zuidelijker kunnen met een boot naar Steward Island, maar dat was voor ons niet perse nodig. We verbleven in een hostel in Invercargill, midden in het centrum. Ten zuiden van Invercargill ligt het plaatsje 'Bluff', waar de State Highway 1 eindigt. De SH1 is een snelweg van het noordelijkste puntje van het Noordereiland naar het zuidelijkste puntje van het Zuidereiland. Aan het einde van SH1 staat een wegwijzerpaal met afstanden naar onder andere Sydney, New York en Londen.
