What an amazing day to travel. I am currently checking out of my hotel -Days Inn in Missouri. Today I will be traveling to Montgomery, AL. The whole trip will take 10 hours and 39 minutes. I will be stopping at Cenex gas station that is 9 min away from my location. Before I leave, I need to feed my car some fuel. The total amount I payed for a full tank of gas is $81. I am now ready to Drive 10 hours and 39 minutes!!!!!!! I am currently driving, and I will fill you in once i'm running low on gas, which will be when i reach 7 hours of driving..... Hello again! I just got to Nashville, Tennessee, and I will be making a quick stop at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum located on 222 Fifth Avenue South Nashville, TN 37203. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum presents live programs that complement the stories told in our galleries. Artists, songwriters, master musicians, producers, record executives, scholars, and more are captured in conversation and performance. The museum has in its holdings numerous cataloged photographs, moving images, sound recordings, printed materials, and objects related to the history of country and American folk music. This museum holds an extensive, permanent objects collection. This collection includes more than 800 stage costumes, over 600 instruments, and hundreds of other objects-from microphones to automobiles-documenting the history of country music. This exhibit examines the ways in which American music continues to be measured by the standards. It also explores the connections between this revered figure in country music and creative, biological, and cultural. I had so much fun here, i couldn't resist not giving this museum a visit !!! I am in need for some fuel and I will be stopping at Exxon gas station. The amount I payed for gas is $18. I have 2 hours and 52 minutes left, till I reach my destination. I am now back on the road, and hopefully i'll be in Montgomery, AL in no time. I just arrived to the beautiful Montgomery, AL and here I will discover, learn, and write about the historic civil rights movement. Montgomery is the capital city of Alabama. The black granite Civil Rights Memorial and adjacent exhibition center commemorate the Civil Rights Movement. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, a hub for the Montgomery bus boycott. Close by is the domed, 1850s Alabama State Capitol. East of downtown, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts displays porcelain and American and African art. I will be visiting the Civil Rights Memorial. The Civil Rights Memorial is a memorial in Montgomery, Alabama, to 41 people who died in the struggle for the equal and integrated treatment of all people, regardless of race, during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The memorial is in downtown Montgomery, at 400 Washington Avenue, in an open plaza in front of the Civil Rights Memorial Center, which was the offices of the Southern Poverty Law Center until it moved across the street into a new building in 2001.
This memorial was really emotional, and I definitely recommend visiting this memorial. I am so tired of driving, and just physically, and mentally tired. I had enough visiting for today. Tonight I will be driving to Americas Best Value Inn- Nashville Hotel, located in 97 Wallace Rd, Nashville, TN. It is 16 minutes away from my location. I am now here at my hotel, and the total amount i will be paying for the night is $50. Tune in for the eighth journey.
