Retirement Odyssey - Part 2

Got on the bus with our group for the first time this morning, a relativley late 8:30 start. We drove north and west in a mountain valley to Delphi. The scenery was beautiful. The trip took 3.5 hours including a 20 min rest stop.

We checked into our small hotel and had lunch across the street with our driver, guide and half our group (gyros for most of us and a Mythos beer for me.)

After a brief rest, we were off for a guided tour of the Delphi archeologic museum and the the Sanctuary of Apollo site. The local guide was again excellent. It was a bit warm at times, but otherwise great weather continues as photos will document. We were pooped by the end of the afternoon but had plenty of time to rest up before dinner.

We walked to a group dinner just down the street at family run Taverna Vakchos. Very nice 5 course meal, all local specialties.
