Happy New Year! Gosh did we need a sleep in this morning! Fireworks in Milan are incredibly loud and honestly seem like you’re being bombed. Scared out our skins a couple of times!

Another easy day as we’re all suffering a bit with headaches and sore throats (crossing our fingers it’s all short lived). Good time to sort out where and how to from here (trains and hotel booked). We did go out for a late lunch again and another wander through the streets, mainly to find more gelato for the kids at our new favourite shop Venchi (I was rather taken by the beautiful packaging)!
