Joyeux Noël! Merry Christmas from Paris!

So we thought it might be quiet today but nope! Almost like any other day. So naturally breakfast was pastries and a vin chaud (hot spiced wine) for the grownups, Fanta for the boys (actually has orange juice in it here). Spotted the epicerie from Amelie on our walk about. Then we hopped on the metro and headed for La Tour Eiffel. And waited and waited and waited. By 4:30 we were finally up. After checking out the views and buying the obligatory miniature from one of the questionable street sellers, we jumped on a river cruise to freeze our butts off and to see the sights from the Seine.
Requiring a lovely warm dinner, we raced back home (no time for the Moulin Rouge, but it looked pretty) and dined at Le Vrai Paris, just around the corner from our apartment. It was toasty warm inside and we relaxed with martini’s, baked Camembert, veal, beef tartare and cheeseburgers for the boys. Slightly bizarre christmas dinner!
