Christmas Holiday

Starting to lose track of where we are and what day it is now. But we’re pretty sure we’re finally in the land of cappuccinos.

Today was our prebooked visit to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. What an unassuming building with so much history especially throughout the two world wars. Mind blowing experience being in the presence of such a work of art. Security was super tight and we were moved through relatively quickly but without the crowds like when we saw the Mona Lisa. Obligatory stop at the gift shop where we picked up some postcards and a beautiful pop-up book of da Vinci’s inventions.

Next was a visit to the National Museum of Science and Technology to see more of da Vinci’s work and some great exhibits on the history of forging metals, old machines plus plenty of trains, planes, a rocket and boats… even the Prada catamaran!

Easy pasta lunch a few streets away and then we lured Benjamin under somewhat false pretences to a government hospital to get his hand checked out and x-rayed. No broken bones or fractures so only required a splint and a sling to wear for the next week. Phew!

Also, Craig found a little car to
pop in our hand luggage!
