Our last day in Rome and the last day of our holiday was spent in the best way - eating! We headed towards the Spanish Steps first (with a glistening Christmas tree courtesy of Bulgari) and then went in search of lunch. I’d found a place (on Tik Tok of course) that made traditional pasta Alfredo at the table using only fresh pasta, butter and copious amounts of Parmesan. Complemented that with a tray of meats and a half bottle of white wine and we were happy chaps! Dessert was next. Off wandering the streets towards Piazza Navona again to find a little place called Two Sizes that only sells tiramisu. The boys had strawberry tiramisu, I had pistachio and Craig bucked the trend with a chocolate cannolo. Delicious!

Back on the streets and we found Largo di Torre Argentina, which is an ancient, recently uncovered site where it is believed that Julius Caesar was executed. Some of the temple remains date back to the 3rd or 4th century BC. It is also home to a cat sanctuary!
