Chapter 2

Dear diary,
Today we had two hours of social studies in a row. Our teacher split us up into three groups. Then each group got two cups. We had to put our phone numbers in the first cup. We also got a map that we had to draw lines on until the map was full with little boxes. On one side of the map we had to write numbers and on the other side we wrote letters. Then each group went outside to hide their cup. We hid ours near Museumplein. Then we had to write down the coordinates of our first cup by using google maps. We couldn't figure out how that worked. Suddenly Cecilia called us and said that we had to come back to school. We went back even though we weren't finished. We still had to find out the coordinates of the first cup and write those down on a pice of paper. We would have to put that piece of paper in the second cup that we would then hide. After that we were supposed to color in the spot of the second cup on the map. Then we would give a different group our map and they would try to find our cups.
When we got back to school we had to wait for the second group of kids to come back. The third group had not left yet. We had to come back to school

because the teacher had noticed our problem with google maps. He tried to find an app that would tell you the coordinates of were you are. The apps that he found didn't work.
After a while we realized that our cup with our phone numbers was still hidden and if anyone found it they might call us. We didn't want that to happen so we walked all the way back, got our cup, and went back to school again.
It is kind of funny because in the beginning of the lesson we thought that the thing with the cups wouldn't work. What we thought was definitely right.
