My diary

Dear diary,
Today when I woke up I went downstairs. I was the only one awake. Normally my oldest brother Sam would be awake before me but today he was sleeping at a friends house. I had some breakfast. On the table were the pieces of my brothers StarWars lego set. Last night we had been working on building it. We had gotten stuck because we couldn't find a piece.
After I had eaten I started looking for the missing piece again. My youngest brother Nate came downstairs. He helped me look. I decided to look for the next piece that we had to find and skip the other piece. I started looking for it but I found the piece that was missing instead! Finally we could continue building the lego set. After a couple of minutes we finished building it.
I had nothing to do after that so I just read my book called 'I capture the castle'. It is about a girl and her sister that live with their father and stepmother in an old castle. They are quit poor because no one in their family has a job. They were living off of the little money they had left from when their dad published a book.
When Sam got back from his friends house he was tired and he went straight upstairs. Me and Nate went outside to play a game that we call swing soccer. It is were one person sits on the swing and the other stands a little ways in front of it and tries to score in the goal behind the swing. It was only fun for a couple of minutes so we went back inside.
Yesterday me and my mom went to some flower shops to buy flowers to plant in our garden. We also have the little plants that you can get at Albert Heijn. They are doing well, most of them are already growing. Albert Heijn was also giving out the plants last year but when we put them outside to grow the slugs ate them.
We are making a big quilt because my mom got a sewing machine a little while ago. You can see what it looks like on the picture. We still have to sew the top and bottom together so there are lots of pins on it. Me and Sam know how to use the sewing machine but Nate is still learning.
