My diary

Dear diary,
Today on my way home from school something weird happened. It started pouring rain and I didn't have a hood on my jacket so I went and stood next to someone's door that was covered by their balcony. After a couple of minutes the rain had only gotten worse. I kept waiting. Suddenly the door opened behind me. A woman stepped out. I moved out of the way so that she could get past me but she stood still. She kept staring at me. I looked away but I could tell that she was still looking at me so I looked at her and said 'Hello'. Then she said 'no, of course not. So should I meet you there?'. I was very confused. I was about to saw 'um' but she made hand gestures that meant I should go away. That was when I saw she was talking into a microphone on her earphones. I was so embarrassed that I biked away even though it was still raining.
When I got home it had stopped raining so my dad, my brother, and me went a store to pick up a name tag for Cora's collar. After that I was a lot less afraid about losing her and never finding her again. We had already lost her twice. The first time we were trying to let her off leash without her running away but she ran away anyways before we could stop her. She slipped through a fence into a garden. The fence was covered with ivy so we couldn't see exactly where she went. I was so afraid that we would never find her again. We called her name for a couple minutes but when she didn't come back my mom and my brother went to look for the house that the garden belonged to. They ended up finding a side street that led to the side of the garden and they saw Cora running around. They picked her up through the fence and brought her home.
The second time she escaped is wasn't there so I can't really tell the story but I can say that my brothers found her again.
