Dear diary,
Today I went to Germany with my family. We rented a car and drove over to an old town. It only took a couple of hours to get there. We stayed in a house next to a farm. It had two floors. There was a piano and some games. My mom also found a little room with a hula hoop and there was a big hammock. We went to look at all of the animals on the farm. It smelled really bad and it was also muddy. Every time we saw someone we kind of walked away because we were not sure that we were allowed to be there.
My parents made us go to an old castle. It was really boring and it looked exactly like every other castle we have ever been to. The only cool thing were these IPads that you could play a game on. The game was that your castle was being attacked and you had to keep the soldiers out by shooting arrows at them.
On the way back to the house that we were staying in we had to stop on the road because a big group of goats was crossing. Me and my brothers got out of the car to pet them. This guy came to us and started shouting something in German. My brothers and I quickly got in the car and my parents leaned out of the car window and said sorry. The goats had crossed the road so we rode away.
There were lots of hills and winding roads on the way home and I felt car sick. I really don't like being in cars. My brothers were playing on the IPads but I was looking out of the window so that I wouldn't feel too sick. In the distance there were mountains with snow on top. I could see the red rooftops of the villages. Then we went through a tunnel. When we go through tunnels we try to hold our breath the hole way. I definitely couldn't do it. The tunnel was very long.
We finally got back to the house that we were staying at. We got our stuff and drove back to Amsterdam.
That was my trip to Germany.
