Chapter 19

Dear diary,
We got virtual reality glasses (I think that that is what they are called)! They are so cool! We didn't get the expensive kind. Ours is made out of cardboard but it still works really well. It looks like big glasses with a flap in the front that you put your phone in. You have to play a certain kind of video on your phone and then if you look at it through the glasses it is like you are actually there. If you turn around you can see everything behind you. It is like a better version of a 3d movie. I have watched a video were you go underwater and on a helicopter! It was amazing. Although it would probably be less blurry in real lifeI , it was still awesome. We watched one really sad video about a girl in Ethiopia that has to walk for a couple of hours twice a day to get water. The water that she gets has leaches and the water could make you sick but it is all that they have. The walk to and from the water keeps her from having time to go to school. Finally some people in a truck come and dig down deep into the ground near the

girls village. They find water and now everyone in the girls village has clean water that is close by.
After watching a video my eyes always hurt. I think that the lenses are to far apart from each other. They make my eyes cross and you can get pretty dizzy from turning around and trying to see everything around you. It is kind of weird when you are watching a video and you look down and you don't see your body. It all feels so real.
